Nathan – Nicest Person Thus Far

My quest to find Calgary people to talk to about the city had gone smoother than it ever has tonight. I went downtown to a place called Eau Claire Market. It is a mall type place, but with more of a community feel. It has a lot of open area for sitting, coffee shops, restaurants, an art gallery, movie theatre gym and a bunch of random shops. It was there that I ran into Nathan. Amazingly he was the first person I approached about the blog, he was super nice and happy to talk to me. He did let me know he had only been living in Calgary for a year before we got started and I assured him that was just fine as I too had only been here a year :).

1. Where are you from?
From Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.

2. Why did you moved to Calgary of all places?
I went to school in Montreal and then I was looking for jobs and I came out west.

3. Do you like living in Calgary?
Love! Yes Calgary’s a good place.

4. What do you like to do for fun?
I am doing some volunteering at the Y right now. And aside from that, working out, going out for drinks with friends, relaxing watching movies, the usual stuff. 

5. If you had to describe Calgary to some one, what would you say?
I’d say it is probably the most emerging, booming city in the western hemisphere. It’s amazing the possibilities you can have out here, it’s really nice.

6. Have you ever ridden a horse?
Yes, I fell off but yes haha.

7. Anything you’d like to add?
Ah no, I’m glad that I ran into you. This is Random, but I love it!
